Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Courtline’s website, accounts, waitlists, memberships, court bookings, programs, events, facilities and related services. By using a Courtline service, you agree to these Terms and to any policies presented in connection with a particular membership, booking, program or event.
If you do not agree, do not use the service. Certain activities may require a separate membership agreement, waiver, release, code of conduct or booking policy. If those documents conflict with these Terms, the more specific document governs that activity.
Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate, current and complete information. You are responsible for protecting account credentials and for activity occurring through your account. Notify us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without authorization.
You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. A parent or legal guardian must complete required registration and consent documents for a minor and is responsible for the minor’s compliance.
Waitlists and pre-launch information
Joining a waitlist records your interest but does not guarantee a membership, price, opening date, court time or place in a particular program. Availability may be limited and offers may expire. Pre-launch descriptions, illustrations, schedules, pricing and anticipated features may change before opening.
We will provide final material terms before requiring you to purchase a membership or service.
Bookings, attendance and cancellations
Bookings are subject to availability, posted time limits and any booking rules displayed when you reserve. You are responsible for arriving on time, confirming participant details and leaving the court when the booking ends. Late cancellations, no-shows, guests and equipment rentals may be subject to fees disclosed through the booking process or applicable club policy.
Courtline may change, relocate or cancel a booking, league, lesson or event for operational, safety, maintenance, weather, staffing or other reasonable reasons. Where appropriate, we may offer a rescheduled service, account credit or refund consistent with the applicable policy.
Memberships, fees and renewal
Membership benefits, term, price, usage limits, renewal rules, freezes, transfers and cancellation rights will be stated in the membership offer or agreement. Taxes and other disclosed fees may apply. Unless expressly stated otherwise, memberships are personal and may not be transferred or shared.
You authorize our payment provider to charge amounts that you approve. You are responsible for maintaining valid payment information. Refunds and credits are governed by the terms shown at purchase and applicable consumer-protection law.
Player and guest conduct
Everyone at Courtline must treat players, guests and staff with respect and follow posted rules and reasonable staff directions. Harassment, discrimination, threats, unsafe play, deliberate property damage, fraud, unauthorized commercial activity and illegal conduct are prohibited.
You are responsible for your guests and for equipment you use or rent. Courtline may refuse entry, suspend privileges, cancel bookings or terminate an account or membership where reasonably necessary to protect safety, operations, property or the community.
Sport, health and safety
Padel, pickleball, fitness activities and presence in an athletic facility involve inherent risks, including collision, falls, equipment impact, physical exertion and serious injury. Participate within your abilities, use appropriate equipment, inspect your playing area and stop if conditions feel unsafe.
You are responsible for determining whether you are medically able to participate. Courtline does not provide medical advice. Participation may require a separate assumption-of-risk agreement or waiver. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Acceptable use of digital services
You may use Courtline’s digital services only for lawful, personal purposes connected to Courtline. You must not interfere with security or operation, scrape or harvest data, impersonate another person, upload malicious code, reverse engineer protected software, access another user’s account, or use automated systems without written permission.
We may monitor service performance and investigate suspected misuse while handling personal information according to our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property and submitted content
Courtline’s names, logos, designs, photographs, videos, copy, software and other materials are owned by Courtline or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use our services for their intended personal purpose.
If you submit feedback, reviews or other content, you confirm that you have the right to do so. You permit Courtline to use feedback to improve its services. We will request appropriate permission before using a person’s image or testimonial in advertising where consent is required.
Email, SMS and WhatsApp
You agree to receive service communications needed to manage your requests, bookings, account or membership. Marketing email, SMS and WhatsApp messages will be sent where permitted and consistent with the choices you provide. Message frequency varies, and carrier message or data charges may apply.
You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the message link and opt out of SMS or WhatsApp using the instructions provided. Marketing consent is not a condition of purchase. Transactional communications may continue where needed to provide a requested service.
Third-party services and links
Courtline may rely on third parties for hosting, booking, payment, communications, maps, social media and other services. Their separate terms and privacy policies may apply. Courtline is not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but this does not limit obligations imposed on us by law.
Availability and disclaimers
We work to keep information and services accurate and available, but schedules, programs, features and website content may change. Services may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons.
To the extent permitted by law, services are provided on an “as available” basis without warranties beyond those expressly stated or required by law. Ontario consumer-protection rights and other non-waivable legal protections continue to apply.
Responsibility and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Courtline is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, our services. Any limitation will be applied only to the extent lawful and will not exclude liability that cannot be limited, including liability arising from gross negligence or intentional misconduct where applicable.
You remain responsible for losses caused by your breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct or misuse of Courtline property or services.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using our website at any time and may cancel paid services according to their applicable terms. Courtline may restrict or terminate access for a material breach, non-payment, unsafe conduct, misuse, legal requirements or risks to people, property or systems. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, disputes will be brought before the courts located in Ontario.
Before starting a formal claim, we encourage you to contact us so we can try to resolve the concern directly.
Changes, severability and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Courtline’s services, operations or legal requirements. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
